Baked Camembert in Sourdough

Baked Camembert in Sourdough

Hey friends! You HAVE TO TRY this recipe! Honestly it's my favourite dinner party trick because this recipe brings wow factor and is unbelievably delicious. I hope you enjoy!!

Ingredients
1 large loaf of sourdough or other cob loaf
200g camembert (small to medium sized wheel)
40g maple syrup
40g butter
40g walnuts
30g olive oil
2 cloves of chopped garlic
2-3 sprigs of rosemary, cut into thirds

Method
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
With a large cerated knife, start to slice your loaf diagonally. Start the slices from one side of the loaf and work your way to the other. Cut only 90% of the way through the bread, not to the bottom.
Turn your bread and continue to slice the loaf in perpendicular slices, so that the loaf ends up looking like a hedgehog.
Begin to wedge the butter into the gaps in the bread, then add the garlic, walnuts camembert and rosemary. Drizzle half the olive oil and half the maple syrup over the top and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the camembert is melted, and nuts toasted.
Remove from the oven and drizzle remaining olive oil and maple syrup. Serve immediately.
