Learn how to make Mars Bar Slice with this classic, no bake recipe! Only 5 ingredients and you'll have a beautiful, easy dessert that everyone will love! This slice is also sometimes called Chocolate Caramel Slice :)
This is a family favourite of mine!
2 x 60g Mars Bars
75g unsalted butter
1 tbsp golden syrup
3 cups of rice bubbles or rice krispies
185g cooking chocolate
Prepare a rectangle or square baking tin by lightly coating with oil or butter, and then lining with parchment paper.
Roughly chop the mars bars, then place in a saucepan with butter and syrup. On a low to medium heat, allow to melt, stirring so that the mixture doesn’t burn. Once it becomes a smooth consistency, pour the mixture over the rice bubbles in a large bowl, and mix well.
Turn out the mixture into the baking tin and evenly spread the mixture and press into the tin so that the base is even and flat.
Melt the cooking chocolate in the microwave. Melt in 30 second increments, checking after each turn so that the chocolate doesn’t burn. Once melted, pour the chocolate all over the base of the slice, and evenly spread with a spatula or the back of a spoon.
Refrigerate until set. Cut into smaller pieces and enjoy!
