Let's get festive with this incredible appetiser, perfect for thanksgiving or xmas! This baked brie is bursting with flavour with cranberries, pecans and a couple of secret ingredients to take it all to the next level.

1 large wheel brie cheese (approx 200g)
1 tablespoons brown sugar
For the cranberry pecan topping
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp maple syrup
30g unsalted butter
1/4 teaspoon all spice
Zest of 1/2 orange
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup dried cranberries
Preheat the oven to moderate temperature (180C/350F).
Sprinkle brie with the brown sugar.
Place the brie in a baking dish lined with parchment paper, or a small cast iron skillet. Allow to bake in the oven for approximately 12 minutes. Let it cool for 5 minutes.
While the brie is cooking, in a small saucepan over a medium heat combine the butter, sugar, honey, syrup, spice and 1/4 of the orange zest. Bring to the boil and add your pecans and cranberries. When foamy, reduce heat and allow to cook for 1 - 2 minutes, continue to stir. Then turn the heat off and allow the mixture to bubble away and continue to thicken.Spoon out the cranberry and pecan mixture over the warm brie and serve with crackers or your favourite bread.
